The Philosophy of the Informational, Formalization, and Implementation
Last updated: February 18, 2004
Summary:
Introduction to artificial consciousness.
The philosophy of the informational, formalization, and implementation.
This is almost a seven-year study and research of conceptual, theoretical,
and implementation possibilities in the direction of artificial consciousness.
New informational conceptualism, methodology, and formalism is demonstrated.
The book to this subject is in progress, currently on 424 pages in the
American Letter format and in the European A4 format, together with an exhaustive Table of Contents,
Figures, Tables and Index. In the focus of the research is:
- informational emergentism in the form of decomposition, particularization, naming, informing of operands, formulas, formula systems, informons, and entropons;
- general, metaphysicalistic, and communication-like decomposition of informational entities and agents;
- informational axioms, formulas, formula systems, schemes, shells, graphs, gestalts, informons, entropons;
- complexity measures concerning formulas, formula systems, schemes, gestalts,
decompositions and decompositions of decompositions;
- metadecomposition concept as a part of informational machine;
- concrete and shell models of experiments (philosophy, economy, psychology)
- Heideggerian model of understanding and interpretation, circle-like informing in natural languages;
- artificial consciousness systems, described formally, schematically, and graphically
- informational machine, its organization and implementation;
- informon, as a building element of consciousness, and entropon, as a constitutive component of subconsciousness (partly new);
- verbal and formal definitions of emotion, see Index of the study (partly new);
- informonic organization of attention, cognition, motivation, emotion, and behavior (partly new);
- a comparison made between the ad-hoc and the informonic (metaphysicalistic) organization of the sociable robot Kismet (M.I.T.)
- original comparison with the main philosophies and mathematics, on one side, and the informational theory and methodology, on the other side;
- a sketch of informational tools for design and overview;
- a gestalts, i-bits, and informational decoherence (Subsect. 8.9, pp. 87--88);
- complexity and metaphysicalism necessary for conscious entities --- informons (new);
- symbolic and textual corrections made considering the book Vers. 1.5/1.6, especially the Index (new);
- Chapter 33, on image informing is added, using colored optical and colored acoustical symbolism (included in the Index) (newest).
So far, the book is set in PDF and PostScript format, originating in the sophisticated LaTeX2e
system text presentation. This presentation is a must because of
an extensive use of the new and mathematically decorated formalism, formulas,
systems of formulas, and graphs extending over the entire Letter-format or A4 pages.
The book is written systematically, as a guide, textbook, and handbook for scientists, researchers, developers, engineers, and implementers, with a large
number of figures, examples, graphs, and tables. The main problem of the book is the
question: How could an informational machine for an artificial consciousness
be organized and implemented, enabling informational emergentism of operands? The main
means of informational emergentism seems to be general and informonic decomposition
of operands, formulas, and formula systems.
The contents of the book is available as a whole. You can read it by Acrobat
